Bio: Sonya loves working with children. With almost a decade of teaching experience, she feels that creating relationships and getting to know her students as individuals is an integral part of the classroom. Once she uncovers their unique learning styles, she teaches to their strengths, building their confidence to become successful learners. Sonya moved around a lot as a child, feeling most settled in Washington State. She currently lives in Evergreen with her husband and two kids who also attended Wilmot. Sonya feels lucky to be working in a school filled with caring, hard-working, and all around amazing teachers and staff. And, she feels lucky to have the opportunity to teach the awesome kids in this community!

Bio: It’s the “aha” moments that Frances loves about teaching. She just finds it exhilarating when the light bulb goes on and she can tell the class “It’s starting to get brighter in here!” Frances began her career in the corporate world only to realize her passion in teaching when she volunteered in her own two kids’ classrooms. So she’s able to bring her experience as a corporate leader to the classroom, managing time and communication through calm and patience. Originally from North Carolina, she moved to Boulder for school then Evergreen for a job. She eventually received a Master’s Degree in Education from CU Denver and feels settled at Wilmot Elementary. Outside the classroom you can find Frances and her husband and their two kids doing all things Colorado, even ice climbing!
